IMPORT, EXPORT AND DEVELOPMENT FACTORS The province of Rimini primarily exports engineering products, in particular agriculture machinery, as well as textile and leather goods. 
The province mainly trades with Germany, USA and France, and excels in its considerable trading relations with non-EU countries, the highest percentage of the region's trading relations with such countries.Trade balance is clearly positive as regards engineering products, textiles and leather. The engineering sector is the most representative in terms of employees, followed by clothing, timber and furniture, food, leather and footwear. More precisely, the engineering sector is Italy's leader in woodwork machinery construction. Rimini Fair, especially the new trade fair pole, will no doubt play an instrumental role in the province's economic development. Its yearly exhibitions cover a considerably wide proposals "palette": from boat and deep-sea fishing equipment to pinball machines and video-games; also noteworthy are the shows dedicated to dance-halls technology and outdoor vacation equipment. Events subjects at Rimini Fair clearly reflect the multiple faces of the province's tourism and leisure world. Rimini Fair initiatives considerably contribute to the richness of the province's tourism, travels, hospitality, catering and entertainment: they have both a direct economic effect, through infrastructure and service activities connected to the events themselves, and a more significant effect concerning the allied industries.
